Three charged for trafficking Bangi worth Sh1.5M.

Three Kenyans have been charged with trafficking Narcotics contrary to the law.
Simon Kariuki Wangechi, Hussein Nganga Abdalla and Gabriel Mwangi who appeared before milimani law courts magistrate are alledged that on the 26th April 2019 in Githurai 44 in Kasarani within Nairobi county jointly with others not before court were found trafficking in narcotics namely Cannabis to wit 521.5 kgs of narcotic drug with a market value of Sh1.5Million by storing in contravention of the said act.
The prosecution has objected their release on bail saying the accused are at flight risk and a danger to the society ,the suspects are alleged to be selling the Cannabis to students fom Githurai and other parts of the country and they are alleged to have operational network in Ethiopia ,Kenya and Tanzania.
Their lawyer Danstan Omari has objected the application by the prosection and asked the court to admit the suspects on bail pending trial.
The lawyer told court that the accused are from slums and have school going kids. He said the state is in possession of their passport.
