Moses Kuria accuses DCI of interfering with witnesses in his case.

 Moses Kuria has said “evil forces” from above are interefering in a case in which he is facing charges of incitement to violence.
In a court hearing today, Kuria’s lawyer Geoffrey Omenke sensationaly claimed that the Director of Criminal investigations George Kinoti was interefering with state witnesses over Panga remarks he made on July 26, 2015, during a national government function.
Kuria was allegedly captured inciting youths to violence was not recorded in Gatundu Stadium.
In the video,Kuria is shown to be allegedly telling panga-wielding youth to defend the National Youth Service and its projects.
Omenke told Milimani Senior Principal Magistrate Kennedy that the DCI wrote to the Court on February 5 this year asking for a copy of the proceedings.
“Why is the DCI ,applying for Court proceedings, there is a sinister motive”,he posed.
He also accused the same “evil forces of trying to intimidate witnesses who have already testified in court.
The prosecution also confirmed that there was interference with witnesses but added that they have a very strong case against the accused.
The matter was adjourned to 23rd July, 2019.
