Boda Boda Rider Killed in Nakuru Hit-and-Run Incident

Nakuru, Kenya — A tragic road accident occurred last night on the Nakuru–Nairobi Highway, about three kilometers from Nakuru town, leaving one person dead.

At around 9:32 p.m., a trailer struck and killed a boda boda rider, Mr. John Kang’u, who died on the spot. The trailer, which was reportedly carrying wooden pallets, fled the scene immediately after the incident.

The co-driver, a South Sudanese national, was attacked by an angry mob and sustained serious injuries. He is currently receiving treatment at a hospital in Nakuru.

By the time police officers arrived, the driver of the trailer had already escaped. Authorities are now appealing to members of the public, especially witnesses who saw the vehicle, to provide any information that could help identify the trailer, including its number plate, by reporting to the nearest police station in Nakuru.
